Hi, my name is Jeff. I’ve been birdwatching for ten years and love many aspects of the hobby. I created this smaller spinoff blog from becausebirds.com to share birding stories, photographs, and recordings.

Always on the lookout for birds in my daily life, I seek to inspire others to observe the world and nature around them. Once you start paying closer attention, a whole new world of discoveries and experiences await.
